About Us
The Rich History
Located in the heart of Kathmandu, Bhanubhakta Memorial School (BMS) has been a cornerstone of quality education since its establishment in 1967 A.D. For over six decades, we have nurtured generations of students, equipping them with knowledge, skills, and values to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
With a rich legacy of academic excellence, Bhanubhakta Memorial School blends traditional values with modern teaching methodologies, ensuring holistic development for every student. Our well-developed facilities, experienced faculty, and student-centered approach make us one of the most trusted educational institutions in Nepal.
Founded in 1967 in honor of Nepalese poet Bhanubhakta Acharya, Bhanubhakta Memorial Higher Secondary School has grown from a small rented building to a major educational institution with modern, separate buildings for each section. It’s managed by the Bhanubhakta Memorial Public Educational Trust and has boys’ hostel facilities, spacious classrooms, and state-of-the-art science labs.
Home to around 2,000 students and nearly 100 teachers, it stands as one of Nepal’s largest private schools, providing comprehensive educational and physical development programs for day scholars and boarders alike.
As an English-medium, co-educational institution serving students from age 3 (nursery) to 18 (grade XII), the school focuses on academic excellence and adapts modern teaching strategies to keep pace with national standards. It has earned both national and international recognition, frequently hosting educational experts and language specialists from around the world.
The school campus is fully equipped, with the latest internet connectivity and modern facilities, to support the development of well-rounded, cultured citizens. Many graduates have attained prominent positions in Nepal and abroad.
Administratively, the school is divided into Primary Wing (Nursery–V), Middle Wing (VI–VIII), Secondary Wing (IX–X), Higher Secondary Wing (XI–XII), and a BBS program affiliated with Tribhuvan University. Each section is overseen by designated in-charges, while the BBS program has its own management team.
